On September 10th, the CoverHound team was excited to unveil our latest insurance innovations at Finovate Fall 2013 in New York City. Our very own CEO, Basil Enan and CMO, Keith Moore previewed our beta version of our Car Insurance Twitter Estimates (code named ‘CITE’) that let anyone quickly request a Car Insurance estimate just by tweeting to us at @CoverHound. Pretty cool, right!
Here’s the lowdown on how it works. All you need to do is tweet us some of your general car insurance details to @CoverHound for a quick tweeted estimate. Here is a simple example of a driver’s (me) and automobile’s details CoverHound would want to know to give you a more accurate Car Insurance Estimate (what is tweeted is in bold below).
Married or Single? Married
Homeowner or Renter? Homeowner
Male or Female? Female
Car Make, Model & Year? 2014 Range Rover Sport
Let’s just pretend I currently own a home in San Francisco and a sweet new Range Rover -- why not, right?!
** Always make sure to include #auto in your tweet, and you don’t need any punctuation (no periods, commas or colons).
Here is a sample tweet from me that @CoverHound would respond to.
What my Tweet would look like: @CoverHound #auto married homeowner 29 female 94105 Range Rover Sport 2013
The quick response from @CoverHound (always less than 1 minute!): @MyTwitterName Your Auto Insurance Estimate is $86 a month. For a full quote in less than 3 minutes go to cvrhnd.co/1aTLXnP
We received a ton of positive feedback from our Car Insurance Twitter Estimate (CITE) feature, and we encourage you to try it for yourself and share with your friends and family if you like it. We are officially launching this to the public on Oct. 1st, 2013, so you can let your friends know you are part of our pre-release party! So for now, it’s part of our secret menu, kind of like In & Out Burgers’ Animal-Style and Protein-Style secret selections.
