Time for week #3 in my quest to hunt down my dream cars and rely on CoverHound to find out the insurance costs! Why am I doing this? One, because insurance is pretty much mandatory and two, because these are my dream cars and I want them to be kept safe, duh!
So far, I researched the 2011 Audi R8 in Week One and the Shelby "Super Snake" in Week Two. Week Three's winner is the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera! Personally, I would opt for the S 2dr Coupe. Why? Of course you know my first reason; its looks! Very sleek, very sophisticated, very sexy. But I have other reasons. Can you say "0-60 in 4.3 seconds"? Oh yeah. Four hundred horsepower and top speed of 188mph. Yeah, baby! So what's this sweet little car going to cost? MSRP is $96,400. Yow!
Now what about the insurance cost? Let's check it out on the CoverHound platform.
As you may know by now, I tend to favor the Superior coverage. After all, this is a dream car, and I want to feel as though it is safest from harm. I can get superior coverage for about $259 per month. Pricey, but worth it for this car! At this price I can get $100/300K bodily injury limits, $50,000 property damage, $1,000 medical payments, $100/$300k uninsured motorist coverage, with $500 comprehensive and collision deductible, along with $75/day for towing and labor.
Again, not a bad deal considering the car! Be sure to check back next week for another dream car and its insurance reality!
